LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Tome Miwa at 111 years old. At the time of her death, she was a Japanese supercentenarian considered as the oldest living person in Mie Prefecture, Japan.

Tome Miwa was born on 22 August 1907 in Ōgaki, Gifu Prefecture, Japan.

She worked in Tokyo and experienced the Great Kantō earthquake in 1923 where she escaped and survived a fire by walking on railroad tracks.

She got married and had five children with her husband. They later moved to Inabe City, Mie Prefecture where she worked tirelessly in the fields until reaching 100 years old.

Tome Miwa passed away at her home in Inabe City, Mie Prefecture, Japan, on 21 July 2019 due to heart failure.

LongeviQuest is happy to announce the validation of Jewell Hutson’s age of 111 years old. She was born in Elm Flats near Kerens, Navarro County, Texas, USA, on 27 January 1911.

Jewell graduated from North Texas State Teachers College (currently known as University of North Texas) in 1932. It is at this moment of her life that she met John Denton Hutson whom she later married in Austin, Texas on 30 May 1936.

The couple had a son named John Denton Jr. in 1945, nine years after their wedding. In the same year, she taught at a school in Malakoff.

She moved back to Kerens, Texas around 1971 to teach second grade students at Kerens Elementary until she retired in 1979.

Mrs. Hutson passed away in Kerens, Navarro County, Texas, USA, on 10 April 2022 where she was survived by two granddaughters and two great-grandsons.

LongeviQuest is delighted to announce the age validation of Mine Kondō at 112 years old. Following the death of Shizu Narita on 2 March 2023, Mrs. Kondō became the oldest living person in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

Mine Kondō was born in the village of Ikuma which is now part of Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, on 1 September 1910. She married a farmer from Higashihagihira when she was at the age of 20 years old. The couple had three daughters and three sons.

After reaching 101 years old, she started to attend a daycare center in Nagoya. At 112 years old, she began attending daycare service from her home twice a week to enjoy leisure activities such as calligraphy.

She is currently living in Aichi Prefecture, Japan where she is also the oldest living person at the moment.

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Nagasaki Prefecture’s Kane Mori at 111 years old. She was the oldest living person in the region at the time of her death.

Kane Mori was born on 25 March 1906, in Konogai (which is now part of Isahaya), Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan. She got married and had two daughters and two sons upon reaching adulthood.

She was able to maintain a strong and healthy body as she was still physically active climbing Mt. Taradake when she was 82 years old. Moving and working hard are what contribute to Mrs. Mori’s longevity according to herself.

Kane Mori passed away at the age of 111 years on 22 February 2018, in Isahaya, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.

It is with a heavy heart that LongeviQuest has confirmed the passing of the third-oldest validated living resident of California, Doris Johnson, at the age of 111. The only two residents of California confirmed to be older than Mrs, Johnson are Edie Ceccarelli and Pearl Berg, who are are 115 and 113 years old, respectively.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Turlock, California, USA, on 6 November 1911, to parents Gunnard Emanuel and Anna Marie Wickstrom. She graduated from Turlock High School in 1929 and had worked as a nurse during her life.

In 1936, she married Martin Edward Wedin, but the two had no children.

She remarried in 1987 to Donald Ernest Johnson and the couple travelled together around the country.

She was a devoted member of Beulah Covenant Church and her love for Jesus was evident in her daily life.

Doris Johnson passed away at the Covenant Living of Turlock Care Home on 18 May 2023, at the age of 111 years old.

LongeviQuest is happy to announce the age validation for Kiku Aoyama at 111 years old. Upon validating her, it was known that she was the oldest living woman in Hokkaido Prefecture just before passing away.

Kiku Aoyama was born in Hakodate, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan, on 6 September 1906.

She had nine children with her husband and then they later moved to Asahikawa where he is working. Moving on, she started working as a cook in a hospital in the city when she was in her fifties.

Mrs. Aoyama lived independently until the age of 109 and she was still able to cook and do the laundry by herself. She has a daughter living nearby that occasionally helped her whenever she needed something.

She moved into a nursing home in November 2016 where she was loved. According to her family and nursing home staff, she was very lovely and caring to everyone around her.

Aoyama passed away on 12 August 2018, in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Prefecture, Japan, due to heart failure.

LongeviQuest is delighted to announce the validation of Yoshiko Araki’s age claim of 111 years old. She was a Japanese supercentenarian who was the oldest living person in Shimane Prefecture, Japan at the time of death.

Mrs. Araki was born in Yokota, Shimane Prefecture, Japan, on 31 March 1905. She grew up in this town to the point that she witnessed how it merged with the town of Nita to form the present-day Okuizumo.

Mrs. Araki married a man from the same town at some point. Her daily routine was to wake up as early as 4AM every morning to take her three horses to the mountain to cut grass.

She ate three meals on a regular basis at the age of 111. During this time, she still enjoyed singing and dancing. It also became a customary deed for her to sing whenever her doctor would visit at home.

Yoshiko Araki passed away in Okuizumo on 28 February 2017, after her health deteriorated earlier that month.

LongeviQuest is glad to announce the age validation of Launa Mitchell at 110 years old. She is the second-oldest living supercentenarian in New Jersey after Susan Keane.

Mrs. Mitchell was born on 23 May 1913 in New Jersey. She was among the 8.8% of students who would finish 12th grade in 1932. Five years later, she married John Douglas Mitchell in 1937. Her husband left to serve in World War II, and she entered the workforce and kept working even after Mr. Mitchell’s return from the war.

Starting from 1940, Mrs. Mitchell was employed as a saleswoman at Silver’s 5¢ to 1$ store. Consecutively, she was also an office clerk at Tepper’s Department Store in South Plainfield. She also became a bank teller and later an assistant treasurer at the Plainfield Saving and Loan Association. The couple moved to Venture, California but decided to return and settle in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Mrs. Mitchell is currently active while staying in a nursing home at the age of 110 years old.

LongeviQuest is happy to announce the age validation of Take Abe at 112 years old. She was a Japanese supercentenarian believed to be the third-oldest living person in Japan just before her death in 1991.

Abe was born on 31 July 1879 in the village of Kitamatsuno which is later known as the city of Fuji in the present day.

She dropped out of Shizuoka Girls’ High School to marry a doctor from Ihara District and later had three children with him.

Abe enjoys talking with the staff of the nursing home she was in every day, and it is said that she does not want to be interfered with while talking.

Take Abe passed away on 15 October 1991, in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, when she was at the age of 112 years old.  Abe was declared as the third-oldest person in Japan, behind Waka Shirahama and Tane Ikai just two months before her death.

Longeviquest is glad to announce the validation of Berta Gutierrez’s age claim of 110 years old. She is an American supercentenarian who is among the top 10 oldest residents of the state of California.

Gutierrez was born in El Paso, Texas, on 22 February 1913 while her parents are originally from Mexico. At some point in her life, she decided to move and be a resident of Hayward, California where she is still currently staying at.
