Eleanor Bearwald was a validated American supercentenarian who died in 2020 at the age of 110.

Eleanor Bearwald was born in Forest Park, Illinois, USA on 10 August 1910. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Forest Park and would remain a lifelong Lutheran. She was also a wife and a mother to a son.

The Bearwalds settled in Maywood, Illinois in 1942, before moving to Addison in 1956. Their love for travel took them to all 50 U.S. capitals and 13 European countries. Beyond adventuring, Eleanor Bearwald enjoyed reading, collecting records, knitting, and playing the organ. Alongside her husband, she actively participated in local craft fairs.

She continued to live independently in her own home until she was 94 when she moved into a retirement community. She passed away in Northbrook, Illinois on 3 October 2020, aged 110 years, 54 days.
