Sally Mitchell was a validated American supercentenarian who died in 2016 at the age of 110.

Sally Mitchell was born in Pentwater, Michigan, USA, on 25 November 1904. She was raised on a farm with four siblings. Mitchell earned a business degree from Ferris Institute. In 1922, she moved to California to care for her WWI-injured brother. After working as a secretarial assistant at AT&T, she met and married her husband. They settled in San Marino and had a daughter. The couple were active in social clubs and church activities.

Mitchell moved to assisted living in 2012. On her 110th birthday, her daughter credited her mother’s longevity to a stress-free lifestyle and a diet free of processed foods. She also attributed it to fresh air and homegrown produce.
