Pauline Cook, age 110, is now a validated American supercentenarian.
Pauline Cook was born Pauline Clarice Bolt in Illinois on 30 March 1913. She was a sister, a wife, and a stepmother to 3 children.
Cook dedicated her career to social work and even assisted President Nixon. After being widowed, she moved to Nevada. Cook attributes her longevity to enjoying life. She cited meat as her favorite food and encouraged others to “eat your cake” and not take things too seriously.
At the age of 109, Cook relocated from Henderson, Nevada, to an assisted living facility in Roanoke, Virginia, where she currently resides. Cook is currently the second-oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Virginia, after Virginia Jefferson.
