LongeviQuest is saddened to report that Scotland’s oldest living man, Mr. David Crawford, passed away on 5 July 2023 at the age of 108 years old.

David Crawford was born on 21 March 1915 in Scotland, United Kingdom. His age was recognized by LongeviQuest and verified by the Oldest in Britain website.

When George Pollard passed away on 20 April 2021, Mr. Crawford became the oldest known living man in Scotland.

He was staying at the Hilton Lodge nursing home in Haddington, East Lothian, when he peacefully passed away. At the time of his death, he was 108 years and 106 days old and was the oldest living person in East Lothian. Also, he was the third-oldest known living person in Scotland behind Marion Dawson and Ailsa Stewart.

LongeviQuest is delighted to announce the age validation for Emilia Canché Caamal at 108 years old. She is currently the oldest known Mayan woman in Mexico, and the oldest known living person in the state of Quintana Roo.

Mrs. Canché Caamal was born into a Mayan family in Tekit, Yucatán, Mexico, on 28 May 1915 (claimed 1914). At some point, she married Augusto Nahuat Soberanis and the couple had three daughters and two sons.

In the 1950s, she moved to José María Morelos, Quintana Roo, where she worked as a midwife. Many local people from that community recognized the service that she provided to low-income families by bringing 20 children into the world.

She currently has 33 grandchildren, 95 great-grandchildren, and 61 great-great grandchildren.
