Luciano Rodríguez, one of the oldest living men in Uruguay, celebrated his 107th birthday in Vichadero (Rivera Department) on 24 December.

Luciano Rodríguez was born near Vichadero, Rivera Department, Uruguay, on 24 December 1917.

He married in Zanja Honda Town and had two daughters. Rodríguez attended school until completing the first year of primary education. For nearly his entire life, he devoted himself to the trade of bricklaying, continuing to work until the age of 80.

At the age of 105, he remained highly independent, managing his daily activities without assistance. As of August 2024, he resides with his 87-year-old wife. By the time he celebrated his 107th birthday, he had two daughters (aged 71 and 68), along with two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
