Karen Moritz, the oldest living resident of Denmark, passed away on April 4th in Nørresundby, Aalborg, North Jutland Region, at the age of 110 years, 233 days.

Mrs. Moritz was born in Nørresundby on 15 August 1913. At some point, she married Sven Moritz, with whom she had three children. Her husband was a lawyer, public prosecutor, and former police chief. Together they represented Aalborg at many official events.

Following the death of 109-year-old Else Rehling on 22 January 2022, she became the oldest living person in Denmark. In August 2023, she celebrated her 110th birthday, becoming the 10th documented supercentenarian in Denmark.
