Georgia Everett was a validated American supercentenarian who died in 2016 at the age of 111.
Georgia Everett was born on a farm in Bedford County, Virginia, USA, on 19 November 1905. After finishing school, she taught at the Chestnut Grove School for one year and worked on her father’s farm. She was a sister, a wife, and a mother to 3 children. Three of her sisters lived to be centenarians: Willie Braxton passed away at the age of 106, Mamie Everett at 103, and Thelma Davis at 105.
Everett attended Altha Grove Baptist Church regularly until her health prevented her from doing so. She sang in the Senior Choir, served as the secretary of the Sanctuary Ministry for many years, and attended Sunday School as often as her health allowed.
Everett passed away at her home in Lynchburg, Virginia, USA, on 5 December 2016, at the age of 111 years, 16 days. She was survived by her three children, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, as well as one younger sister, Thelma Davis.
LongeviQuest congratulates Georgia Everett’s family on her posthumous recognition.
