It is with a heavy heart for LongeviQuest to report that Augusta Oteiza of France passed away at 112 years old.
Augusta Oteiza was born on 3 May 1912 in Cauneille, Landes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France.
On 3 August 1935, she married Celso Georges Oteiza and the couple had six children together. She was widowed when she was 63. At the time, she was living in her small house in Anglet.
As a young woman.
When asked about the secret of her longevity, she jokingly replied, “Stay with the young people.”
Mrs. Oteiza passed away on 10 June 2024 in Tarnos, Landes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. At the time of her death, she was the sixth oldest living person in France.
