Gentilina Raccosta, a resident of Serravalle Pistoiese, Tuscany, Italy, passed away on 17 September, at the age of 111 years, 107 days.
Gentilina Raccosta was born in Penna San Giovanni, Marche, Italy, on 2 June 1915. She lived in Florence with her husband, a lawyer originally from Salerno who practiced in the Tuscan capital. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 97. Including their engagement, they were together for 74 years before his passing. She cared for him devotedly until his final days.
At the time of her passing, she was the second-oldest living person in Tuscany, after Nella Faleri, as well as the fifth-oldest living person in Italy, according to Supercentenari d’Italia.
