BIOGRAPHY

Gentilina Raccosta was born in Penna San Giovanni, Marche, Italy, on 2 June 1915.

She lived in Florence with her husband, a lawyer originally from Salerno who practiced in the Tuscan capital. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 97. Including their engagement, they were together for 74 years before his passing. She cared for him devotedly until his final days.

At the age of 107, she was reported to be lucid and in good health. On her birthday, she was visited by Mayor Piero Lunardi and a member of the municipal council.
