Nella Faleri, a resident of Monteroni d’Arbia, Tuscany, Italy, is celebrating her 111th birthday today. Her birthday was first reported on Facebook by Gabriele Berni, Mayor of Monteroni d’Arbia.

Nella Faleri was born in Monteroni d’Arbia, on 2 April 1915. More precisely, she was born on the Le Madonne farm in San Fabiano, not far from the center of Monteroni d’Arbia. She was the youngest of five siblings. Her father was called to the front during World War I and returned when she was only seven months old. She grew up working the fields, sharing the harvest with the sharecroppers, and serving wealthy bourgeois clients who traveled from across Italy to have their fine silk garments embroidered and tailored. She had at least one daughter, Lucia.

As of March 2026, she was reported to still read the newspaper every morning and remained well informed about world events.

On 7 December 2025, following the passing of Mamie Tei, she became the oldest living person in Tuscany

LongeviQuest extends warm congratulations to Nella Faleri on her 111th birthday.
