BIOGRAPHY

Nella Faleri was born in Monteroni d’Arbia, Tuscany, Italy, on 2 April 1915. More precisely, she was born on the Le Madonne farm in San Fabiano, not far from the center of Monteroni d’Arbia. She had at least one daughter, Lucia.

On both her 108th and 109th birthdays, she was visited by the mayor of Monteroni d’Arbia, Gabriele Berni. At 108, when asked about the secret to her longevity, she replied with a mischievous smile, “I eat everything, and I’ve never been on a diet.” At the time, she still played canasta in her free time, teaming up with her nephew Roberto against her daughter Lucia and granddaughter Laura. She was still a devoted Juventus fan. She also continued to read the newspaper without the need for glasses.
