LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Horace Baumer at 110 years old. He is an American supercentenarian known as the current oldest living man in Pennsylvania.

Horace was born on 17 December 1913 in Minersville, Schuylkill, Pennsylvania. He was orphaned at a young age after his father died in 1918 due to Spanish Flu and her mother succumbed to tuberculosis five years later.

He attended Girard College which was an orphanage home for boys where he learned machinist’s trade. This is how he got to work as a machinist at Bethlehem Steel’s Grace Mine near Morgantown. He worked there for about 25 years.

On 23 June 1940, Horace married Genevieve Petchkofski and the two of them had four children together. Unfortunately, their children died just a few days later due to a blood deficiency.

The couple remained married for nearly 62 years just before Genevieve died in 2002. Horace lived independently on his own ever since that day until he was hospitalized in July 2022. After he was discharged, he moved to into a nursing home in Pottsville, Pennsylvania.
