It is with a heavy heart for LongeviQuest to share that Giuseppa Salerno, Italy’s fifth-oldest living person, passed away at age 112.
 
Giuseppa Salerno was an Italian supercentenarian born on 17 June 1911 in Naples, Campania, Italy. She was recognized as the fifth-oldest living person in the country at the time of her death. Her age has been validated by the European Supercentenarian Organisation (ESO).

When she was 110 years old, she already had five children, 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
 
Giuseppa Salerno passed away on 26 September 2023 in Naples, Campania, Italy, at age 112 years and 101 days old.
