LongviQuest is delighted to announce that Alma Leuthner’s age of 110 years old has been validated. She was an American supercentenarian known as the third-oldest living person in Minnesota, USA, at the time of her death.
Alma Leuthner was born on 19 May 1910 in Long Prairie, Minnesota, USA. She studied music along with her three sisters from the local nuns, where Alma learned to play the piano and the violin. She graduated from Long Prairie High School and then attended St. Cloud College of Business in the late 1920s.
In 1930, she met her future husband after moving to Alexandria, Minnesota. She later married John Leuthner on 1 May 1933 and the couple had three children together.
When she was 98 years old, she stopped driving and then moved into a nursing home.
Alma Leuthner passed away on 9 October 2020 at Knute Nelson Care Center in Alexandria, Minnesota, USA. She was 110 years old at the time of her death and the third-oldest living person in Minnesota after Erna Zahn and Opal Johnson.
