LongeviQuest is glad to announce the age validation of Launa Mitchell at 110 years old. She is the second-oldest living supercentenarian in New Jersey after Susan Keane.

Mrs. Mitchell was born on 23 May 1913 in New Jersey. She was among the 8.8% of students who would finish 12th grade in 1932. Five years later, she married John Douglas Mitchell in 1937. Her husband left to serve in World War II, and she entered the workforce and kept working even after Mr. Mitchell’s return from the war.

Starting from 1940, Mrs. Mitchell was employed as a saleswoman at Silver’s 5¢ to 1$ store. Consecutively, she was also an office clerk at Tepper’s Department Store in South Plainfield. She also became a bank teller and later an assistant treasurer at the Plainfield Saving and Loan Association. The couple moved to Venture, California but decided to return and settle in Lakewood, New Jersey.

Mrs. Mitchell is currently active while staying in a nursing home at the age of 110 years old.

Longeviquest is glad to announce the validation of Berta Gutierrez’s age claim of 110 years old. She is an American supercentenarian who is among the top 10 oldest residents of the state of California.

Gutierrez was born in El Paso, Texas, on 22 February 1913 while her parents are originally from Mexico. At some point in her life, she decided to move and be a resident of Hayward, California where she is still currently staying at.

LongeviQuest is delighted to announce the age validation of the world’s former world’s oldest living person and oldest undisputed man ever, Robert Alexander Early at 111 years old. He was an American supercentenarian who held these titles at the time of his death on 9 October 1960.

Robert Alexander Early was born in Watts Creek, Whitley County, Kentucky, USA, on 8 October 1849. He attended school in Williamsburg, and then started a decade-long teacher career after it.

In 1875, he married Eliza Ann Berry and had three children with her. In 1886, he was remarried to Sidney Ann King with whom he had six children with.

He was once a teacher, a mailer, a carpenter, a merchant, a carpenter, a Sunday-school superintendent, and a woodcarver. He spent his life with these professions in that specific order. Robert stopped woodcarving at 108 years old when his hands became too shaky.

Early passed away in Corbin, Whiley County, Kentucky, USA, on 9 October 1960, just a day after celebrating his 111th birthday.

It’s believed that Early was the world’s oldest living person from October 1959 until his own death one year later, and how he is the first man who reached the age of 111.

LongeviQuest is saddened to report the passing of Hazel Plummer. She was born on At the time of her death, Plummer was the oldest known person living in the U.S. state of Massachusetts and the world’s 6th oldest living validated person (behind María Branyas MoreraFusa TatsumiEdie CeccarelliTomiko Itooka, and Inah Canabarro Lucas).

During her early years, Plummer went to trade school to become a seamstress. She then worked for an upscale designer on Newbury Street in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1935, she married her husband Elmer Plummer and they had at least two children (sons). At the time of her 110th birthday in June 2018, Plummer had six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Plummer became the oldest known living person in the state of Massachusetts following the death of 112-year-old Dorothy Brown on 26 November 2019. In January 2020, her nursing home celebrated her achievement with a special party where she received a message from Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.

LongeviQuest is delighted to share that the age claim of Louise Godejohann at 110 years old is valid. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, on 31 December 1849. At the time of her death, she was considered the world’s oldest living woman.

She married William Godejohann in 1871 and they had four children which they took care of together. Two years later, they moved to Olney, Illinois where her husband became a successful manufacturer of cigars.

She received a congratulatory letter for her 100th birthday from President Harry S. Truman in 1950.

Godejohann passed away in the Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois, USA, on 30 June 1960.

LongeviQuest is pleased to confirm the age validation of Emma Isbell at 110 years old. She was an American supercentenarian born on Bennett farm near Lebanon in Madison County, New York, USA, on 26 October 1859.

She claimed to be born in 1860 but research conducted by Jimmy Lindberg stated that she was actually born in 1859. LongeviQuest validated the claim and at the time of her passing, she was the oldest (known and validated) living person in the United States.

She spent her life teaching and spending time with children in rural schools and at Eaton Village School. Emma stated that staying with kids is the reason for her longevity.

After retirement, she became a librarian until 1920. Then she lived with her mother and sister right after in a farm in the Cherry Valley.

Isbell never married nor had children. She passed away in Morrisville County, New York, USA, on 12 December 1969.

Ruby Lockhart recently celebrated her 111th birthday last 17 May 2023 in Bryan, Ohio, United States. LongeviQuest validated her age on 3 February 2023 and the Williams County Commissioners supported this by passing a proclamation on her birthday.

The proclamation states that Ruby is the oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Ohio and that 17 May is now officially the Ruby Viola Lockhart Day.

She was born as Ruby Viola Clay in Elkhart, Indiana in 1912. Ruby proceeded to marry Ferral Wheeler Lockhart on 4 November 1931 and together they had three children.

As of the latest checking, Ruby had one living sister, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is currently living in Hillside Country, Bryan, Ohio, USA.

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Narcissus Rickman at 113 years old. She was born as Narcissus Elizabeth Jane Nicholson on 13 September 1855 in Transylvania County, North Carolina, USA.

It is believed that she was the oldest living person in the world before she passed away on 21 October 1968 in Hendersonville, Henderson County, North Carolina, USA. It is also stated that she is the fourth recorded person to reach the age of 113.

Narcissus is one of the 11 children of Rebecca Glazener and Evin Pearson Nicholson, who is a participant in the American Civil War (1861-1865).

She married Nicholas Osborne Rickman in 1882 with whom she shared parenting their four children while she was teaching at Sunday School.

She was survived by her three daughters, 20 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and an unknown number of great-great grandchildren upon her passing. LongeviQuest extends their congratulations to the family of Mrs. Rickman on this posthumous recognition.

She was born in Breckenridge, Minnesota, USA on 28 December 1907, and passed away in Merrill, Wisconsin, USA on 23 May 2018 at the age of 110 years old. She was the third of four children of German parents. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Merrill.

After graduating from Breckenridge High School, she continued her education at the State School of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota. In 1929, she married Elmer Theissen, a pharmacist. They moved to Fort Madison, Iowa, where they bought the Ford Hopkins Drug Store and renamed it to Theissen Rexall Drug. Her husband passed away in 1991.

On her death, she was survived by her three daughters, 13 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

She married her husband, Earl Lewis on 23 August 1930. They had two children. Her husband passed away in 1993. After turning 100 years old, she moved to Estero to live with her daughter. On her passing, she was survived by her son, two grandsons, and one great-grandson.

Mrs. Lewis attended William Woods College, where she was a member of the student council, and then graduated from Lincoln University in Jefferson City. She worked as an elementary school teacher for 25 years in Jefferson City. She was also the President of the Capital City Women’s Club and the Jefferson City Women’s Club.
