LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Toshiko Minagawa of Japan at age 111. She was born in Japan on 16 October 1911.

Minagawa lived on her own until she was 100 years old. However, she moved into a nursing home at the age of 103. The nursing home staff described her as someone who communicated her intentions clearly and firmly. They also said that she could be strict at times, but also gentle. Her favorite foods were steak, wine, egg sandwiches, sushi, and udon.

Toshiko Minagawa passed away in Minami-ku, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, on 9 March 2023, at the age of 111 years, 144 days. At the time of death, she was the second-oldest living person in Hiroshima Prefecture, behind Fusae Miyamoto, who was only a day older.

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Harue Nobira at 111 years old. She was a Japanese supercentenarian recognized as the oldest living person in Hiroshima Prefecture before she passed away.

Harue Nobira on 28 March 1907 in Asakita Ward, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. She was the eldest of two children from a wealthy family. On snowy mornings, she was piggybacked when going to elementary school.

According to her daughter, because her mother was very well brought up during her childhood, Nobira had a slightly different sense of common sense. She was also a fashion lover even during her later years. Moreover, she was a “health geek” who is always eager about garlic egg yolks and homemade green juice. This made her highly conscious of her healthy longevity.

She was bound to use a wheelchair after reaching 111 years old.

Harue Nobira passed away in the morning of 2 April 2018 in Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. She passed away just five days after celebrating her 111th birthday.

She became the prefecture’s oldest living person after Misao Takuwa passed away on 22 January 2018.

Upon her death, the record of being the prefecture’s oldest living person was passed on Toshimi Kikkawa.
