LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Toshiko Minagawa of Japan at age 111. She was born in Japan on 16 October 1911.
Minagawa lived on her own until she was 100 years old. However, she moved into a nursing home at the age of 103. The nursing home staff described her as someone who communicated her intentions clearly and firmly. They also said that she could be strict at times, but also gentle. Her favorite foods were steak, wine, egg sandwiches, sushi, and udon.
Toshiko Minagawa passed away in Minami-ku, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, on 9 March 2023, at the age of 111 years, 144 days. At the time of death, she was the second-oldest living person in Hiroshima Prefecture, behind Fusae Miyamoto, who was only a day older.
