BIOGRAPHY

Ishi Onodera was born in Japan on 13 November 1902. She spent many years living in the Niufu area of Bifuka Village (now Bifuka Town) in Hokkaido, where she worked as a potato farmer. Throughout her life, she raised 11 children, and at the time of her passing, she had 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

At home, she had a passion for fashion and always wore a kimono when going shopping. Even in her later years, after being hospitalized, she continued to enjoy mealtimes and visits from her family. When her grandchildren came to see her, she would often sing her favorite songs. She remained in good health until shortly before her passing.
