Shinobu Matsuda [Japanese: 松田しのぶ] was a Japanese supercentenarian. At the time of death, she was the oldest living person in Hokkaidō Prefecture.
Shinobu Matsuda (松田しのぶ) was born in Japan on October 8, 1902.
Until the age of 103, she lived in good health without major illnesses, taking care of herself and occasionally cooking, such as making rice porridge. She was able to walk on her own until the age of 105 and was told by her doctor that she had strong internal organs. Her family stated that she owed her longevity to eating three proper meals a day and avoiding snacks such as sweets.
Following the death of Hatsue Ono of Koshimizu, aged 113, on October 17, 2012, Matsuda became the oldest living person in Hokkaido. She passed away in Kamifurano, Hokkaido, on November 26, 2013, at the age of 111 years and 49 days. After her passing, Myōgin Furumoto of Toyoura succeeded her as the oldest living person in the prefecture.
Her age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group on 14 April 2014 and later recognized by LongeviQuest.
