Kiyomi Katō is a validated Japanese supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in Gunma Prefecture, Japan.
Kiyomi Katō was born on 29 March 1914 in Ueda, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
At some point in her life, she got married and had three sons. During the Second World War, she traveled to Manchuria (now Northeastern China). After the war, her family nearly escaped danger as they return to Gunma Prefecture, Japan.
From a young age, she was health-conscious and followed a balanced diet, often cooking with about 15 different ingredients. At the age of 100, she revealed that the secret to her longevity was daily walks and naps.
She currently resides in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, at 110 years old, which makes her the oldest living resident there.
