It is with great pleasure for LongeviQuest to share that Martha Anna Furrer-Omlin of Switzerland turns 111 years old. She is a Swiss supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in the country.
She was born on 23 June 1913 in Sachseln, a village in the Swiss canton of Obwalden.
In 1941, Furrer-Omlin married Ambros Furrer, whom she met at a costume festival in Sachseln. The couple had two sons together and rented an apartment in Taubach before purchasing their own property.
At the age of 106, she did not require glasses or a hearing aid. At 110, she is the first supercentenarian from the cantons of Obwalden and Uri. She currently resides in Erstfeld, Uri, Switzerland.
