According to demographic statistics from Takarazuka City, Hyogo Prefecture, an anonymous woman celebrated her 113th birthday in November.
Her identity has not been disclosed, but she is known through past demographic records and information provided by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW).
Born in November 1911, she was, as of the latest Respect for the Aged Day (敬老の日, Keirō no Hi) in September 2024, the second-oldest known living person in Hyogo Prefecture, following only the nation’s and the world’s oldest living person, Tomiko Itooka.
As of today, she is the 10th-oldest known living person in Japan. She is also the oldest known anonymous supercentenarian in the country, with her full date of birth still undisclosed.
