Gertrude Lemire Gagnon, a resident of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, celebrated her 110th birthday on 2 September.
Gertrude Lemire Gagnon was born close to Ascot, in the Sherbrooke area in Quebec, Canada, on 2 September 1916, to parents Emmanuel Lemire (1885–1970) and Corinne Boisvert. When she reached adulthood, she began working and later moved to Sherbrooke. She initially worked as a teacher before joining a telephone company.
On 28 May 1938, at 21, she married Roland Gagnon, and the couple had five children.
