Jesús Redondo Bermejo, a resident of Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain, is celebrating his 110th birthday today.
Jesús Redondo Bermejo was born in Cañaveral, Cáceres Province, Extremadura, on 2 June 1915. He started working as an accountant for the town hall at the age of 19 and continued in that position until his retirement in 1976. At some point, he got married and had at least three children.
Two years ago, on 2 June 2023, our Spanish researcher Daniel Germán Delgado visited him on his 108th birthday to present a commemorative plaque. At the time, he was the oldest living man in Extremadura. At the age of 108, he still had the ability to read and watch TV perfectly without glasses. During that time, he lived between his hometown and the assisted living facility in Cáceres. At the time, he had 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Following the passing of 114-year-old Silveria Martín Díaz, he became the oldest living person in Extremadura. At the moment, he is the third-oldest living man in Spain, after Luis Carrasco-Muñoz y Pérez de la Isla and Servando Palacin Bernal.
