LongeviQuest is delighted to share that Marie-Louise André of Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France, turns 112 years old.
She celebrated her 112th birthday in Gap Hospital Nursing Home on 16 October 2024 while being surrounded by her son and staff. The room she was in was full of children’s drawings and family photos hanging on the wall.
Marie-Louise André was born on 16 October 1912 in Orcieres, Hautes-Alpes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France. She is a French supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in Hautes-Alpes department.
Her father died during World War I in 1918, and she was raised by her mother and aunts.
In July 1933, she was married to Eugène André and the couple had two children together.
As a supercentenarian, she has a large number of descendants; she has lived in Orcières for her entire life.
