Tsuyako Satō is a validated Japanese supercentenarian born on 9 April 1914 in Kaigaya Village, Gunma Prefecture, Japan.
At some point in her life, she got married and had seven children. She attributes her long and healthy life to her devoted and caring children.
Around the age of 80, she took up poetry recitation as a hobby and began performing at local events and senior citizens’ gatherings. Both she and her family believe that this hobby of reciting poetry aloud has been one of the keys to her longevity.
On 13 September 2024, the mayors of Saitama City and Omiya Ward visited her home to celebrate her status as the oldest person in Omiya Ward and her remarkable longevity.
Tsuyako Satō currently resides in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan, at 110 years old.
