Myōgin Furumoto was a validated Japanese supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in Hokkaido Prefecture at the time of her death.

Myōgin Furumoto was born on 28 May 1903 in the village of Honjō (now a city), Saitama Prefecture, Japan.

After World War II, she entered Buddhism and founded a Shingon Buddhist church in Motowanishi-cho, Muroran City, in 1954. The church she founded was visited by many local believers.

She was known for her sociable and powerful personality, often traveling by herself on the bus, and was loved by the people in the community.

In February 2014, she was hospitalized in Date City due to chronic heart failure. She passed away on 23 February 2014 in Toyoura, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan.
