Gertrude Ness was a validated American supercentenarian born on 22 April 1906 in Westline Township, Redwood County, Minnesota, United States.
In 1934, Gertrude married Peded Ingvald Eliason Ness and the couple had two daughters together. The family relocated to Glendale, California, in 1941, where she worked at Lockheed in Burbank. The work involved assembling bomber doors to support the World War II effort. After the war, Mrs. Ness developed a daycare system for single mothers and opened several nursery schools.
Gertrude Ness passed away on 28 August 2016 in Glendale, California, United States, at 110 years old.
