Czerwionka-Leszczyny — The oldest (known) living resident of Silesian Voivodeship in Poland, Mrs. Anna Gawłowska, celebrated her 111th birthday on June 6th. Her birthday was confirmed by Radio 90.
Mrs. Gawłowska was born in Cieszyn, Silesian Voivodeship, on 6 June 1913. In 1936, she married Rudolf Gawłowski. The couple had a son and a daughter, and today, she also has one grandson and two great-grandchildren.
In 1947, she moved to Czerwionka-Leszczyny, when her husband started working there. She has been living there ever since.
Mrs. Gawłowska is the second-oldest known person to have ever lived in the Silesian Voivodeship, after Tekla Juniewicz, who holds the record as the nation’s oldest person ever.
