Mary Couch was a validated American supercentenarian who died in 2023 at the age of 110.

Couch was born in Fitzgerald, Georgia, USA, on 11 November 1912. When she was just 5 years old, her family relocated to Michigan. In her youth, she held the role of secretary for the Detroit Stars Negro League Baseball team, aligning herself with activists such as Rosa Parks.

Married to her husband at some point, they raised nine children together. Despite facing a breast cancer diagnosis at the age of 92, Couch remained resilient. She attributed her long life to her faith, acknowledging, “The Lord has been good to me.”

Undated.

Couch passed away in Southfield, Michigan, USA, on 15 March 2023, at the age of 110 years, 124 days.

LongeviQuest congratulates Mary Couch’s family on her posthumous recognition.
