LongeviQuest is pleased to confirm that Tomiko Itooka recently becomes the second oldest living person in the world. She is a Japanese supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in Hyōgo Prefecture and in all of Japan. 

Tomiko was born in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan on 23 May 1908 as the second eldest daughter among three siblings.

She attended elementary school followed by girls’ school, where she was part of the volleyball club. After finishing school, she married at around 20 years old and had her first daughter at 21, eventually having two daughters and two sons.
