LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Ethel Raney at 111 years old. She was an American supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in Vermont, USA, at the time of her death.
Ethel Helena Raney was born on 27 February 1905 in New Ashford, Massachusetts, USA.
On 13 May 1934, she was married to William Henry Raney and had seven children with him. As a mother of several children, she worked at the family farm, and in various restaurants, and engaged in house cleaning, just to provide for the family. Ethel spends her leisure time crocheting to create afghans, doilies, and garments for stuffed animals.

In 1984, she resided in North Bennington, where she spent the rest of her life with her daughter and son-in-law.
Mrs. Raney passed away on 12 May 2016 at her home in North Bennington, Vermont, USA.
