It is with a heavy heart for LongeviQuest to report that Ruth Brown of New Hampshire, USA, passed away at 110 years old.
Brown was born on 14 June 1913 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. She finished her eighth grade as the top student but needed to drop out of school so she could assist her parents in raising her younger siblings.
On 28 May 1938, she was married to Robert Homer “Bob” Brown from Swissvale who was a federal air traffic controller at that time. The couple then had two daughters and they lived in the Pittsburgh suburbs for many years.

In 1962, the Pittsburgh Air Traffic Control Center was relocated to Oberlin, Ohio, and so the family had to move there a year later.
Ruth Brown passed away on 5 December 2023 at Langdon Place of Nashua senior living community in Nashua, New Hampshire, USA.
