LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Mitsuno Sawada at 111 years old. She is a Japanese supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in Shimane Prefecture.

Mitsuno Sawada was born on 1 January 1912 in Japan.

Reports showed that she exhibits great talent for poetry. A proof of this is when she won a first prize in the Tanka (Japanese short poetry) contest at the Shimane Prefecture Cultural Festival. She won the prize twice, in 1982 and in 1997.

On 21 June 2021, she became the oldest living person in Shimane Prefecture at age 109 when Fumi Fujiwara passed away. On the same year, she was anonymously reported as the oldest in the prefecture during the Respect for the Aged Day 2021 (Keiro no Hi). In 2022, her name was finally revealed.

Mitsuno currently resides in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture, Japan.
