LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Martha King of the United States at age 111. She was born in Angelina County, Texas, United States on 3 July 1868. She was a sister to at least 4 sisters.

Her younger sister, Emma Kirkwood, died in November 1974, aged 104. Kirkwood’s daughter, Gertrude Tapscott (1899–2005), lived to be 105, and her son, Charles Russell Kirkwood (1901–2003), lived to be 101.

King passed away in Hempstead, Texas, USA, on 12 December 1979, at the age of 111 years, 162 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Texas and the oldest documented person to ever die in Texas.
