LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Matsuyo Eda of Japan at age 111. She was born in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan on 17 February 1911. She moved with her family to Taiwa, Miyagi Prefecture, to develop the Namba area when she was 38.

At the age of 100, she lived with her third son and his wife, and she continued to work in the fields and knit until she was 108 years old. She was even weeding around her house at that age.
Eda passed away in Taiwa, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, on 28 October 2022, at the age of 111. At the time of death, she was the oldest living person in Miyagi Prefecture.
