LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Mitsuko Hayashi at 112 years old. She is a Japanese supercentenarian born on 4 September 1911 in Kurogawa Village, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.
Mitsuko married her childhood friend when she was in her early twenties. At 27 years old, she gave birth to her first daughter and had a total of five children with her husband.
The family was frequently relocating to different parts of Fukuoka Prefecture. This was because her husband was a police officer who was always assigned to various areas until his retirement.

Mitsuko acquired exceptional skills in dressmaking and knitting as can be seen by her crafts for herself and for her children. Even upon reaching more than 100 years old, she found joy in creating dolls and various other handicrafts.
She was also able to keep a healthy lifestyle until the age of 109 by frequently going out with her daughter. They will have lunches at a café as well as enjoy beer or sake during dinner.
After reaching 109 years old, she fell and had an injury that sent her moving into a nursing home. Fortunately, her active and consistent daily routine of dressmaking and housework helped in preventing declines in her mental and physical health. She can still read around 110 years old and at 112, she still have sharp ears.
