LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Louise Begley of the United States at age 111. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, United States on 8 April 1866. She was born to an Irish-born father and a Scottish-born mother.
Begley worked as a cook and housekeeper for the S.E. Nettleton family in Syracuse for around 45 years, before retiring in 1947 at the age of 81. At the time of her 105th birthday, she mainly attributed her longevity to having worked hard for her entire life. She never married or had children, but nonetheless had a large extended family in her later years. At her nursing home, she was known by other residents as “Grandma Begley”, due to her age.
Louise Begley died in Syracuse, New York, USA on 16 April 1977, just 8 days after celebrating her 111th birthday.
LongeviQuest congratulates Louise Begley’s family on her posthumous recognition.
