Barney’s parents were born in South Holland, Netherlands, and immigrated to the United States in 1868, bringing along their five children. The family’s original surname was Duijndam, but it was later changed to Dundom upon settling in the USA. Barney attended schools in Washington and Montana.

On 25 December 1890, Barney got married in Fergus County, Montana. She was a homemaker, and the family moved around frequently, eventually settling in California for 50 years. At 103, she moved to Grand Junction, Colorado, to be with her daughter. Barney was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Barney passed away at Beverly Manor Nursing Home in Grand Junction, Colorado, USA, on 4 August 1983, at the age of 110 years, 6 days. She was survived by her daughter Frances, five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.

At the time of her death, Barney was the second-oldest living person in the U.S. state of Colorado, following Linnie Jones, who is believed to be the first supercentenarian in the state, making Barney the second.

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Lucy Reynolds at 110 years old. She was an American supercentenarian known as the oldest living person in West Virginia.

Lucy was born on 18 October 1872 in Craig County, Virginia, USA. After her father passed away when she was 12 years old, her family moved to Roane County where she lived most of her life.

When Lucy was around 102 years old, she broke her hip. Moreover, upon her 110th birthday celebration, she was made known as one of the earliest supercentenarians in West Virginia.

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Anna Musick of the United States at age 110. She was born in Quincy, Illinois, United States on 14 October 1872. In 1880, the family moved to a farm near Golden when she was 7-8 years old. She attended Elm Grove School near Golden until sixth grade when she had to quit to work at home.

On 21 February 1895, she got married and then had six children. The couple farmed in the Golden-LaPrairie area for over 30 years and retired in LaPrairie in 1927. Musick used to do a lot of sewing, quilting, and crocheting besides all her other work.

Musick passed away in Golden, Illinois, USA, on 11 January 1983, at the age of 110 years, 89 days. She was survived by four of her children, 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 46 great-great-grandchildren. At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Illinois. Following her death, she was succeeded by Olive Bay.

LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Esther Mitchener at age 111 years old.

Esther was born on 17 August 1871 in Edgerton, Johnson County, Kansas, USA. In 1873, her family relocated to Stockton, Utah, while she attended St. Mary’s Academy in Salt Lake City.

She was married to William Pym Mitchener on 30 June 1897 in Tooele, Utah. The two of them only had a daughter named Marcella who later on worked for.

When talking about longevity, she would start “I just think the Lord has bestowed upon me more than my share of excellent health.” At that time, they also had a quick meeting where the officers reported that Esther never had a chance to smoke and that she was a light speaker.

Esther passed away on 13 April 1983 in Seattle, Washington, USA. At the time of her death, she became the oldest living person in Washington.
