LongeviQuest is pleased to announce the age validation of Martha Frances Brown at 111 years old. She was an American supercentenarian recognized as the former oldest known living person in the United States. At the time of death, she was also the second-oldest living person in the world.

In 1876, Martha moved to Philadelphia. At some point in her life, she married Luke H. Nichols and had seven children with him. Her first husband died in 1928, and so she was remarried to Benjamin Brown who later also passed away in either 1932,1940, or 1942, according to different sources.
In 1959, Marta celebrated her 111th birthday while also receiving a congratulatory letter from President Richard Nixon for her longevity.

LongeviQuest is pleased to confirm the age validation of Emma Isbell at 110 years old. She was an American supercentenarian born on Bennett farm near Lebanon in Madison County, New York, USA, on 26 October 1859.
She claimed to be born in 1860 but research conducted by Jimmy Lindberg stated that she was actually born in 1859. LongeviQuest validated the claim and at the time of her passing, she was the oldest (known and validated) living person in the United States.
She spent her life teaching and spending time with children in rural schools and at Eaton Village School. Emma stated that staying with kids is the reason for her longevity.
After retirement, she became a librarian until 1920. Then she lived with her mother and sister right after in a farm in the Cherry Valley.
Isbell never married nor had children. She passed away in Morrisville County, New York, USA, on 12 December 1969.
