BIOGRAPHY

Raimundo Barros Ferreira was born in Passaré, Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil, on 3 February 1917. In 1939, he married Nair Lopes Barros (19 September 1921 – 18 May 2022). They had 8 children, and the family later grew to include 25 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was married for nearly 83 years, until his wife’s passing.

He once owned land near what is now Castelão football stadium, back when the stadium was being built in the 1970s.
