Ei Nakagaki (Japanese: 中垣ヱイ) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest.

BIOGRAPHY

Ei Nakagaki was born in Japan on 10 December 1899. At the age of 103, she lived in a nursing home in Kawamoto. In September 2007, she was celebrated as the oldest living person in the town at a Respect for the Aged Day event held at the nursing home.

Nakagaki passed away in Kawamoto, Shimane Prefecture, on 13 September 2010, at the age of 110 years, 277 days.

RECOGNITION

In September 2006, at the age of 106, she was the sixth-oldest living person in Shimane Prefecture.

On 3 August 2010, following the death of Tsune Katō, she became the oldest living person in Shimane Prefecture, at the age of 110.

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Ryohei Asano and Yumi Yamamoto, and validated by LongeviQuest on 1 August 2024.
