Mary Crenshaw, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, USA, celebrated her 110th birthday on 19 April.
Mary Crenshaw was born in Greenville, Alabama, on 19 April 1916. She moved to Tallassee, Alabama, as a young child and settled there. For many years, she worked as a housekeeper at a local hospital, retiring around the age of 60.
Even in her later years as a centenarian, she was known to enjoy reading Christian books, shopping, taking walks, and spending time with family and friends. When asked about the secret to her longevity, she credited her faith, saying it came from putting God first in everything she did and praying every day.
Crenshaw is the second-oldest known living person in Alabama, after Lillie Cunningham, age 111, although her age has not been validated.
