Blanca Luisa Cuitiño Barbier was born in Rosario, Colonia, Uruguay, on 25 August 1910.

Cuitiño Barbier died in her house in 18 de Julio Avenue, Rosario, Uruguay, on 20 March 2022, at the age of 111 years, 207 days.
On 9 May 2020, following the passing of Aída Carmen Gandine Dodera, she became the oldest living person in Uruguay. Upon her own passing, she was succeeded by Julio Augusto Varela López (4 March 1913 – 25 July 2022).
Her age was verified by Esteban González Olase, and validated by the LAS on 29 November 2020.
