Fujiko Mihara (Japanese: 三原富士子) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age has been validated by LongeviQuest. She was the oldest living person in Ehime Prefecture at the time of her death.

BIOGRAPHY

Fujiko Mihara was born in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, Japan on 13 December 1910.

Mihara passed away on 18 December 2024, in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, Japan, at the age of 114 years and 5 days due to a cerebral infarction.

RECOGNITION

In September 2022, she was reported as the oldest living person in Ehime Prefecture.

Her age was verified by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare (MHLW), as well as Yu Li, and validated by LongeviQuest on 17 September 2023.

At the time of her passing, Mihara was the second-oldest person ever to have lived in Ehime Prefecture, surpassed only by Osugi Sogo (1905–2019), who was 77 days older at the time of her death. Mihara was the fourth-oldest living person in Japan, after Tomiko Itooka, Okagi Hayashi, and Mine Kondō. She was also the oldest living person in Shikoku, the nation’s smallest region by population.
