BIOGRAPHY

Wynne was born in St. Louis City, Missouri, USA, on 17 January 1906, to parents John Strauss (1869–1955) and Anna Marie Vogel (1871–1952). She had seven siblings: John Henry (1891–1979), Will, Paul (1896–1947), Mathilda (1904–1913), Frederick, Nora and Ernestine Visintine (1908–1998).

At some point, she married John R. Wynne, and the couple had two sons.

Augusta Wynne passed away in St. Louis City, Missouri, on 12 August 2016, at the age of 110 years, 208 days. She was survived by her sons Bob and Jim, six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
