Clotilde Crétinon, a resident of the commune of Saint-Mitre-les-Remparts in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in southern France, passed away on 5 August 2025, at the age of 111 years, 148 days.
Crétinon was born in in the commune Istres in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, on 10 March 1914. She was an only child, and she grew up with her aunts and grandparents after her mother passed away when she was only 14 months old.
In 1938, she married René Crétinon, and the couple spent the following 42 years living in Port-de-Bouc. They had at least two children, Mireille in 1939, and Claude in 1945. Her husband worked at Lafarge, an industrial company specializing in cement, while she spent her entire career as a management assistant for a ship supply company.
Around the age of 104, she moved into a nursing home.
