Ida Hochberg, one of the oldest living residents of New Jersey, USA, passed away in Marlboro on 25 January, at the age of 111 years, 130 days. Her passing was confirmed through a public obituary published by the Bergen Record.
Ida Hochberg was born in Manhattan on 17 September 1913, and was raised in Brooklyn, New York. She later lived in Teaneck, New Jersey; Marlboro, New Jersey; and Tamarac, Florida.
In 1934, she married Larry Hochberg, and the couple spent 52 years together, until his passing in 1986. Together, they had three children: Richard, Marsha, and Susan. She was also a grandmother to five and a great-grandmother to nine.
At the time of her passing, she was the second-oldest (known) living person in New Jersey, after Launa Mitchell.
